Toshiba HD Driver XP

Have just received a 60g Toshiba Laptop HD that I was planning on making a mobile drive and it's coming up unallocated under Disk Management. I did a refresh, rebooted, and still can't get it to come up. Any suggestions???

You are supposed to create partitions in the allocated space and then format them.
