Toshiba Problem

Hi i have a Toshiba M10 sat pro and it will not turn on with hdd installed but will without does any body know what the problem is and can it be fixed

If there is a little jumper on the end of the drive, put it in position CS (Cable Select)
It could also be a faulty HardDrive

Thanks for reply i have tried 3 different drives that work in other laptops with no sucsess, and there are no jumpers on them

sounds like the battery is too low to spin the HD. how does it respond when the
A/C is connected?

i have tried with and without battery still the same only works when no hdd installed when i turn on with hdd installed all i get is a flashing light and have to remove power to be able to try again
