Trial or free?

Twice I've clicked on this link https://www.techspot.com/downloads/4716-malwarebytes-anti-malware.html expecting to get the free version, twice I've set it up only to find out its a trial version, what is going on??

I thought maybe you were missing a checkbox for the premium trial but that's what I got by default as well with that download link. Seems like you can opt out of it in Settings > My Account > Deactivate Premium Trial button > Stay Downgraded when the pop-up asks

No, I run the free version, but they keep asking me to update to version 3 which comes without the stand-alone MB Anti-Exploit (which I want to keep). The version I have will no longer update.
