Trouble with Dual Layer Media

Good Morning.

I just installed an Nec 3550A Dvd Dual Layer drive and cannot get the drive to recognize DL Media. Message says "disk and drive are incompatible" or
"Drive is inaccesible".

What do I need to do to make it work with DL media???

I am using Roxio and have had no trouble with the previous Nec SL or SL Media.
My new Drive recognizes only the SL media and not the DL.

I think Roxio may be the Problem, not your drive. Try looking for a different burner to use, seeing as whatever version of Roxio you are using is probably only compatible with normal DVD's, not DL DVD's.

Use Neo Ultra Series or Ulead DVD Factory 4.x will work with your NEC ND 3550A I have 3540A works perfect with those two programs on DL 2.4x Media. I am not a big fan of ROXIO.
