Turn off S mode on windows 10

My new laptop is in a secure mode (S mode) which is preventing me from using and downloading certain apps and software. Could anyone please let me know if this is something I can get out of or turn off?

I have an Acer that "was" in S mode till I accidently clicked on a link. Now I'm glad I did such. Hope poster isn't locked out of it.

On my HP laptop I had a BIOS update, after it finished downloading/installing & rebooting, it was back in S Mode. I again got it out. I would like to hear from anybody using S Mode, I got questions.
