I have a new HCT digital TV. Occasionally when I turn on the cable, it won;t recognize the cable and I have to reseat the cable or replug the cable (sometimes in a different HDMI port) in order for the TV to pick up a signal. It's really annoying. Is there anything I can do? Do I need a signal amplifier?

is it north or south....korean

Have not been able to find out much on HCT as a Company (old info only?)
on the cable, it won;t recognize the cable and I have to reseat the cable or replug the cable
Found 'some' on cables though seems there are different types since their conception and also seems the quality is the only recommendation (between the different types). Recommended spend "23 May 2007 over AU$70" unfortunately the recommendation also states trial-and-error, so go for the amount you can afford. :) Apparently there is no error checking in the HDMI standard, between the the devices and the issue is one of impedance (one end needs to match the other)
sometimes in a different HDMI port
Perhaps this is a HDCP handshake issue - see posted link for assistance hope this helps
