Two PCs in a network not pinging each other but communicate with other PCs

I have a small intranet work in where two pc's not pinging each other but both are pinging to others and vice versa with others. both's firwalls are off.all pc's using symantec endpoint protection 11.0.6100.645. any idea about this issue

ping is a protocol that is controlled by the firewall - - so you need to reenable the FW.

Your Endpoint Protection may be complicit here, but normally the FW has a means to
configure which portions of ICMP (aka ping) will be enabled.

For the default Windows FW, click on the Advanced Tab
select the Local Area Connection
and then click the botton ICMP settings
check [x] Allow Incoming echo request [x] allow incoming timestamp request [x] allow outgoing time exceeded
click OK
