  1. During last year's E3 gaming press conference, Ubisoft announced Skull & Bones, an open-world pirate action-adventure game. At the time, not much was known about the game, but that changed today.

At E3 2018 on Monday, Ubisoft gave us an extended look at the upcoming pirate sim, and it's looking pretty good so far.

The game's ship combat looks like a vastly improved version of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag's, with additional cannon types, improved aiming, and what appears to be smoother ship maneuvering.

Naturally, though, there's more to the game than just combat. Trading, extensive ship and crew customization, ship disguises (to help you sail past hostile territory more easily), and even cooperative gameplay were also shown off in the latest 6-minute gameplay demonstration.

As you might expect from a pirate game, Skull & Bones places a heavy emphasis on boarding and raiding other ships. Your victims can be hostile warships or mere merchant vessels, depending on your preferences.

Successfully boarding and looting ships will award you with chests of varying rarities - for example, the reward chest we saw in the gameplay demonstration was labeled as "Legendary."

If you want to get your hands on Skull & Bones for yourself, you can sign up for the game's official Beta right now. The title doesn't have a firm release date yet, but it's expected to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime during the 2019-2020 fiscal year.

Open world, huh that was never said or has been confirmed. that was discussed after the conference n was said there was no answer to that yet.
do you something that confirms it is a open world or just guessing cause most of what was shown could easily been seen as linear.

In the trailer, boarding seemed to be a small cutscene and you instantly win. They're taking out part of the experience.

Its Ubisoft. When was the last linear game they made? How many have they made, compared to the number of open world games? Ubisoft is pretty sure that "open world" is the only kind of game that can actually make money these days.

Once again, where do you see that anyone said that its an open world, you dont. its also possible that the events may be scripted.
Claiming something that hasnt been confirmed is *****ic. Guessing is still guessing. in time we will get more info but ppl keep saying things about the game that are so far untrue.

Its called "context clues" and "using your brain". Ubisoft doesnt make linear games anymore unless your name is rayman. Think about it, how would a linear pirate game even work? That would get boring QUICK.

Where did you see the proof that this game is linear eh? Where did ubisoft say this game was linear? You seem awfully sure of it, so where is your proof? You would look awfully "idi0tic" yourself if you had no evidence this game would be linear except for you guessing it is......just saying. Like if your whole argument was based on you saying

Now arent you making context clues because I havent said anything other than the FACT it has not been stated that it is a open world. God forbid that Ubisoft decided not to make one. The point is we dont know. The article n you are just plain wrong claiming it is a open world when that has not been stated, its just your guess. Those are the Facts at this point.

So your guess is fact, but our guess is plain wrong? What are you, 5?

Claiming this game is open world is an educated guess, based on the type of game being made and the publisher/developer's history. Claiming it isnt because they didnt explicitly state it is just plain old autism. You have no evidence to back up your claim, you are just throwing out guesses like a chimpanzee jumping and throwing excrement.

Also, learn to type and use proper punctuation. This is something they teach you in elementary school.
