btw: dot NET stuff is strictly Microsoft, bloat ware, and totally unnecessary for a clean
    PC operation.

If you need .NET Framework, is there a reason you can't use Windows Update? That's the easiest place to get it.

Why are you needing this offline? You can't access the Microsoft site for the updates offline.

Something doesn't seem quite right here- if you have the earlier version of the NET framework, you should have been getting the updates for it through Windows Updates. What is your status on that?
