Upgrading Laptop Core Duo CPU Question

I am looking to upgrade my Laptop's CPU. I have a Gateway CX210x (tablet).

The current CPU's specs are as follows:

Intel Core Duo T2050 (Yonah 1.60ghz)
Socket 479 mPGA
i945PM chipset


Can anyone tell me whether or not I have an options as far as upgrading this to a newer processor? I've read on it quite a bit but haven't gotten any conclusive answers. I am sort of a laptop upgrade noob so bear with me. I apologize if this question has been asked to death.

It is probably not worth the price to upgrade your laptop's CPU.

I was looking at those yesterday. Are you sure those would indeed work in my computer? I had read previously that Socket 479 and Socket 478 are not compatible, which is what was confusing me since I also read that Core Duo and Core 2 Duo processors were cross-compatible (when replacing them).

As far as upgrading, I'm more concerned about having a 64bit processor, but I'm also looking for the modest boost in performance that they would offer as well.

Also, my computer is supposed to be compatible with the Conroe series of chips, if that helps at all.
