UPS causes PC to restart

Hello. Ive been having ups problems only recently.
When there is a power outage my ups kicks in to backup mode via battery but this causes my pc to restart and some times this happens when the electricity comes back on and the ups goes from battery to ac power... ive had the ups for 1 year and a half .. any ideas? Im considering buying an online ups.

Check the battery -- they need to be replaced 12-18months.

I just tested the ups and it lasted about 2 min on normal pc usage.. yes I think its time a new one or a battery change
