Using dialup with Vonage

Can I expect my laptop to work if I connect it by a telephone cord to a wall plate that a Vonage IP phone is being used and try using dial up thru AOL?

i should think so.... Vonage (and other carriers) can carry both voice and data over the same wire. Combining the two at one end, splitting them apart again at the other end.

Your dial-up connection is just another voice conversation as far as Vonage is concerned. (i.e. it's carried over the voice path.. whether combined or split from data.

yes, you can use dial up with vonage. In fact, I used to FAX documents using vonage.
