Website Marketing Question From Windows OS user

So I have a company, we bought about 50 different domain names from GoDaddy.com, all having to do with different products on our site, thinking that if people type something similar to it in Google, our product has a better liking of coming up... do you think I should renew these or buying all these domains a waste of money??

the domain name is almost useless; the content is the most important thing and then
getting that indexed by google with good search words.
