Weekend Open Forum: What really grinds your gears?

This is the internet I dont have to capitaize or properly punctuate anything.
Put down the mouse, put your hands up, and step away from the keyboard!
Nor spell correctly, presumably.
OK, I would have reversed this a bit. Sic, "nor presumably, spell correctly". (It is a subject, and an object, short of a sentence anyway. I agree though, that the subject is implied).

It's stories like this that make you ask yourself, "is having internet really worth the aggravation"....
You do realize that this was entirely rhetorical in nature, don't you?
Presumably the internal discussion ended with the realization you had no viable Plan B for having Russian art models come visit?
But, if I had a few million Laying around, I would mail away for a dozen of them and get my internet disconnected.

No wait, that's not right, I would still have to access TS and Amazon, and a few musical instrument stores.. Never mind I guess I'm stuck with the web after all....:D

That just proves people don't strive to be "the best they can be". Which is the foundation to my previous listing, of "what grinds my gears".
I think you have to join the Army to, "be all that you can be"! Or was that the Marines"? I'm so confused.

Maybe I shouldn't have muted those commercials....:D

I only judged you on what you wrote. Your intellect, as it were. The world isn't color blind yet. So, my point is, since we're dealing only with the printed word which is solely powered by the mind, (which is gray), why feel the need to lead with the issue of race?
Wow man I can clearly see why you use captain cranky as a name here. And you are using every millimeter of it. So because the world isn't colorblind you want to actually tell me that I should not say anything? You can't tell what I meant from that post, just like you stated that it is gray, yet you start judging negatively. So why make a fuss out of someones opinion? Ask yourself were your intellect is now. Presuming things will get you nowhere. And for your information it was ASKED what grinds our gears. If you haven't experienced the information we all put here then don't say anything at all. You have your own opinion offcourse and I already know you will respond again, cause you already need to have the last word on something, without any reason and to top it off, in a negative way ;)

Anyone who thinks they are better than someone else due to college, money, social status.

On the other side are those who believe that anything that's not to their liking is because people think they are better than them, not because they lack qualifications for the job, behave like jerks, break the law, or anything like that.

Being in a fraternity and "greek life" are two very different things
So does this mean we are, or we aren't, going to sing, "In the Navy"?

On the other side are those who believe that anything that's not to their liking is because people think they are better than them, not because they lack qualifications for the job, behave like jerks, break the law, or anything like that.
Captaincranky says, "oh come on man, don't I get even a get a, 'that guy grinds my gears', honorable mention"...?

What grinds my gears? Tech virgins with a slavish devotion to Steam as if it's the end-all-be-all for PC gaming. They spout off about how it saved PC gaming and then slam companies like Electronic Arts for launching Origin saying things like "but Steam got there first!" I also cannot stand all these so-called journalists who make stupid predictions year after year about Microsoft, Apple or the industry in general that never pan out.

Most of all I can't stand stupid-a** people who don't think for themselves yet believe that what they feel matters in the face of facts and the truth.

You know what really grinds my gears? people who are born in america and have the opportunity to be decently educated yet they cant figure out which form of "their/there" "your/you're"
"two/too/to" to use in a sentence when they have to write it down. these ****s really grind my god damn gears. *****s.
well maybe you should talk to people on the phone more, then you might not be so angry and obsessed with the way people write.
What grinds my nut's and bolts? people who text you when "you're" In the same room.

Truth is that if it were not for EA's big titles such as the Battlefield series, Mass Effect, and The Sims collections, Origin would have folded a long time ago. Origin is not a threat to Steam for the simple fact that their catalog of games is priced too high and their sales do not even compare to Steam's. The only this good about Origin is that it promotes competition.

..oh by the way, Steam was here first. :D

Patent and Copyright Lawyers. As they're the only people making any money out of the bull crap Apple vs... / Samsung Vs... etc law suits. And what's worst is we're paying for their new sports cars and nice houses in price hikes to cover their bills.

People who pretend to be experts using google and wiki as their knowledge base.

It really annoys me because when people ask for help they get a copy pasted wikipedia page that explains nothing and then become even more confused which causes no end to problems.

That tells me you are opposed to people trying, which is the exact opposite of my statement. People learn together whether they are experts or not. That statement also tells me you are proclaiming yourself an expert to the extent of looking down on others. That in it self is wrong! Thats OK though, listening to captaincranky, he says I have the same attitude. I disagree though, I only look down upon those who consider themselves above others.

Unless Clifford considers himself one of the others that are looked down upon by those supposed experts...all very existentialist.
Existentialism huh? Have I got existentialist for you:

The Strawbs - Hanging In The Gallery Lyrics
Artist: The Strawbs

Album: Nomadness

Genre: Rock

Heyo! SONGLYRICS just got interactive. Highlight. Review: RIFF-it.
RIFF-it good.

Listen while you read!
Is it the painter or the picture
Hanging in the gallery?
Admired by countless thousands
Who attempt to read the secrets
Of his vision of his very soul.
Is it the painter or the picture
Hanging in the gallery?
Or is it but a still life
Of his own interpretation
Of the way that God had made us
In the image of His eye?

Is it the sculptor or the sculpture
Hanging in the gallery?
Touched by fleeting strangers
Who desire to feel the strength of hands
That realised a form of life.
Is it the sculptor or the sculpture
Hanging in the gallery?
Or is it but the tenderness
With which his hands were guided
To discard the unessentials
And reveal the perfect truth?

Is it the actor or the drama
Playing to the gallery?
Heard in every corner
Of the theatre of cruelty
That masks the humour in his speech.
Is it the actor or the drama
Playing to the gallery?
Or is it but the character
Of any single member of the audience
That forms the plot
Of each and every play?

Is it the singer or his likeness
Hanging in the gallery?
Tongue black, still and swollen,
His eyes staring from their sockets,
He is silent now, will sing no more.
Is it the singer or his likeness
Hanging in the gallery?
Or is it but his conscience,
Insecurity, and loneliness,
When destiny becomes at last
The cause of his demise?

At what point did I say I am opposed to people learning or trying? I love when people spend time and learn because then the knowledge spreads around. Is that not the point of forums like these as to share knowledge and help others while discussing information. I hate the pretenders who come in already preaching like they have been doing this there whole life and instead spread things they have no experience in which leads to false information and wrong purchases among other things. I do not proclaim myself an expert at everything as you think I said...

Everyone brings something to the table, eventually when you get enough you have a full meal of knowledge.

Mr. Cooley was bordering on gossiping about me earlier in this thread, so I feel a moral imperative to follow it.

Either that, or I may release a little red book similar to Chairman Mao's, titled, "Captaincranky Says"....
