I was also thinking of getting a 8800 GTX because I saw a video of someone playing BF3 on maximum settings with almost no lag but nothing in the humble bundle I looked

If you are going to get a card don't waste you money on a 8800 GTX. A newer $70 card will run circles around the 8800 GTX, while using less power. The GTX 650 has more than twice the performance and probably uses half as much power. Although for $100 or less, you would probably be better off getting AMD. If you are going to make a purchase, don't get another tire without any tread. Or you will likely be changing it again real soon.
