What software would you use?

On an as needed basis I make videos for my family. Things like graduations, birthdays and anniversaries. Mostly all pictures some video spliced in. What is the best one you guys have used? Or what would you suggest? I can't find a good rating systems that I truest.

If you are running Windows OS, then 'windows movie maker' is what you are looking for. The program comes free with the installation cd. And if you are on Mac platform then iMovie is there to meet your needs.

as ultragrey said, windows movie maker is a defiantly strong candiate as it is free.
