Well here I am looking like a few other folks here. I have both these problems and lord only knows what else. So here is my HJT file and my AWF file. Let me know where I go from here. I have been looking all over for help and this place looks like one of the few that I might actually get an answer.

I have Norton Internet Security installed and running. Have done a full systems scan and found only cookies.

I have run on demand AVG Anti-Spyware, Spyware Doctor and Spywall and haven't found anything but on generic adware and cookies.

Thank you very much.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Right click on this link DelO15Domains.inf and choose Save As. Save it to your desktop. Right click on that file and choose Install. It will run immediately (you won't be able to see anything happen). You may delete it afterwards. NOTE: This script will delete any sites you may have added to the Trusted Sites. So if you want them back, you have to add them back to the Trusted Sites again.

Double-click FindAWF.exe to start the tool. Then, do the following
Select "option #2 - Restore files from bak folders" by typing 2 and press Enter .
A text file will open up. Please copy/paste the following text from the quote box (all except the word QUOTE) into the text file.

"C:\Program Files\QuickTime\bak\qttask.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\bak\MSASCui.exe"
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\bak\ctfmon.exe"
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\bak\sw20.exe"
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\bak\sw24.exe"
"C:\Program Files\ASUS\Probe\bak\AsusProb.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\bak\GoogleToolbarNotifier.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\OrderReminder\bak\OrderReminder.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Logitech\iTouch\bak\iTouch.exe"
"C:\Program Files\MSI\Live Update 3\bak\LMonitor.exe"
"C:\Program Files\MUSICMATCH\MUSICMATCH Jukebox\bak\mimboot.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue\ControlPanel\bak\VersionCueTray.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\bak\Reader_sl.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Citrix\GoToMeeting\198\bak\g2mstart.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\bak\realsched.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\SharedCOM8\bak\RoxWatchTray.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_02\bin\bak\jusched.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Roxio\Easy Media Creator 8\Drag to Disc\bak\DrgToDsc.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Album Starter Edition\3.0\Apps\bak\apdproxy.exe"

Close the .txt file and click Yes to save the changes.
When the tool has completed, a report will open up in notepad. Please post the results of the awf.txt in your next reply as an attachment.

Thank you for your quick response

First of all thank you for your quick response. This problem has been frustrating me for more than a week. When I opened Internet Explorer after the AWF fix I got several error messages, but canceled them so they wouldn't close it out. Here are the files you wanted uploaded with this reply.

I wasn't sure if you wanted another HiJack This log so I posted it just in case.

Please double-click the FindAWF icon once again
This time we are going to remove some folders.

Use the following option: Press 3 then Enter to remove bak folders

Click below the line and paste the following list of folders to be removed:

You might want to copy and paste these instructions into a notepad file. Then you can have the file open in safe mode, so you can follow the instructions easier.

Boot into safe mode, under your normal user name(NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT). See how HERE.

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE.

Open your task manager, by holding down the ctrl and alt keys and pressing the delete key.

Click on the processes tab and end process for(if there).

OrderReminder.exe

Close task manager.

Locate and delete the following bold files and/or directories(if there).

C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\OrderReminder\OrderReminder.exe
C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\OrderReminder\bak<Delete the entire folder.

Reboot into normal mode and rehide your protected OS files.

Please download FindAWF to your Desktop.
Double-click FindAWF.exe to start the tool.
Select "option #1 - Scan for bak folders" by typing 1 and press Enter
When the tool has completed, a report will open up in notepad. Please post the results of the awf.txt as an attachment.

Sorry it took so long

Sorry it took so long. The boot into Safe Mode is a lot slower. Here is the AWF file and a new HiJackThis Log.

Your HJT log is clean, as is your awf.txt.

However, you`re running an outdated version of HJT and you haven`t renamed it as per the instructions HERE. You`re also running HJT from the wrong location.

I`d like you to do a thorough check to make sure your system is clean.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the Panda Antirootkit scan.

Here are the logs

Here are the logs you said to post after running all the steps in your standard progression. The Panda Rootkit scan said it found nothing.

Hopefully this will find everything okay.

That all looks good.

Delete the following(if there).

C:\vundofix backups
C:\Qoobox

You can now get rid of all the tools we used to clean your system.

Turn off system restore.(XP/ME only) See how HERE.

Now, turn system restore back on. This will have deleted all your old restore points and any nasties that are in them. It will also have created a new, clean restore point.

If you have any further virus/spyware problems, please post in this thread.

Regards Howard :)
