What'd you buy yourself today?

I feel kinda bad buying all this stuff, three posts in a row and everything. :(

But I picked up a Sapphire HD7970 to drive my new display and give me DX11 features. Upgrading from a GTX295.

Awesome upgrade St1ck - not sure why you'd feel bad though. I ordered my WA7 Fireflies over the weekend but haven't gotten it in yet so I won't post pics till I have it in hand.

That 295 would make a good card for a folder. That'd make the best use of it at this time and date IMHO. I'd just sell or maybe even donate it to a folder.

Wow, tube amp! Niiiice! :)

Yeah, so I've heard. It's still a beast in terms of raw power. I don't know any of any folders, but I'll see if I can make a use for it as a GPU for a Steam Box. It's kinda hard with the PSU req though...

So I decided I'm going to ditch my 650 TI today after it struggling to keep up with 1920x1080 PS2 gaming the past week. I was eying up the 660 TI as a good upgrade (GPU I should have originally chose)...so after much crawling around on the net for reviews and opinions on which ones are better, and finding it pretty mixed all around, I decided to pay a little extra and go with this version...

EVGA GTX 660 TI FTW+ 3GB

I've not managed to get much info on this 3GB version (reviews wise), but lots on the 2GB version. Some of the benches and reviews on that were very nice, so I'm looking forward to seeing what this is like. Can't wait to get my hands on it Friday morning! £270 was the price.

Local Tiger Direct store is closing down in my area so they're selling things at huge discounts... Here's what I got yesterday and today:

Samsung 46" 1080p 120Hz LED UN46ES6500 for my bedroom

Yum... wouldn't mind upgrading my old LCD to this or the next size up

Yeah - my wife has already started complaining about how small it is. I guess I never really paid attention to how long my bedroom is. It seems a bit small now when watching it from the opposite side of the room (or the bed).

Picked up the Roccat Kone Pure today to replace my MX 518. Fantastic mouse. Also bought the Razer Goliathus Control Pad.

That's a good looking router!

I bought myself something rather tame: 64GB microSDXC card. I believe I will receive something along the lines of a Go Pro for my birthday shortly, so I was told to buy some memory ...

On the other end of the excitement scale, I purchased a new car for myself! As an accessory, I picked up a black iPod classic 160GB due to full iPod integration. Pretty happy with the purchase, as my whole library comes with me. :D

Okay! It finally came in!!!! I'm super excited to start using this sucker...

Bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini last Saturday for £202 (sim-free), arrived today. My first smartphone and I'm really pleased with it.

Luckily I had family members with an iPhone and Lumia so I knew exactly what I didn't want.

It's awesome Blkfx1 but I'm still in burn-in phase. Right now I'm not sure if it's $700 better than my last DAC/amp but it's definitely a lot better. I think to really appreciate it I'll need to upgrade my cans also. I'm considering the Fostex TH-900 right now unless the new closed Audez'e headphones come out soon. I almost pulled the trigger on a pair of LCD-3 the other night but decided I'd see if I still really wanted them when I got home and the sale ended in those few minutes it took me to get home. I did get to move my modded TubeMagic D1 to my office to become my work DAC/amp.

Bought this for my younger daughter's computer upgrade - 'twas a slick deal

I'm at it again. Got these today :)

Straight out of the box and no burn in and they sound incredible!
