Because the PS5 uses a collection of custom APIs, rather than DirectX or Vulkan, there's no clear indication of what aspects of the RDNA 2 are exposed.

However, AMD are extremely unlikely to design two separate architectures for the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 - it will be the same one in both, but the implementation of it has been scaled and clocked accordingly.

So if there are any features that aren't supported, it will be a question of AMD and Sony working together to expose them in the drivers.
 
Great article. I am very interested to read more regarding DirectStorage when more details becomes available.
