What's the best gaming pc build for 500$? (No PreBuilds)

What's the best gaming pc build for 500$? I'm a noob at learning which parts are the best for my buck so it'll be really nice if I can get some help with the parts. Btw I don't really care how the case looks.

I think it depends on what you'd like to buy and functionality. If your a noob about parts, I have a pretty easy solution. Buy a prebuilt basic Dell desktop, then add a graphics card and power supply. If you buy the right size graphics card and power supply, you can just slip the new parts in. You can buy some Optiplex models with solid CPUs for cheap.

I would recommend an Optiplex 790 with an i5-2400. Make sure to upgrade the RAM to 8GB: https://discountpc.com/products/dell-desktop-optiplex-790-dt-i5

Then, a graphics card, I would recommend the GTX1050ti or the GTX1060, I'll attach both (they both fit in the case):

1050Ti: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MF7EQJZ/?tag=httpwwwtechsp-20

1060: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KQUDE2Y/?tag=httpwwwtechsp-20

Here's the power supply I have and works great for me (also slip right into the existing power bay):

Reply with any questions, I think this is the easiest way to go.
