I'm going to be using Acronis True Image Home 2010 to
burn a image rescue disk, whats the best iso & data software
burner with the least errors.

Something like ImgBurn or Nero etc will be fine. Write errors usually happen from using inferior media and/or too high a burning speed. If you get good quality discs and burn at a slow rate the backup should write ok. I would verify the write if possible after the disc is completed.

I plan on partitioning my 120MB WD HD which I have xp on & use
Acronis True Image Home 2010 to create a image rescue disk.

I was told to install Acronis first & then partition the HD after I
burn the first rescue disk.

After the 1st rescue disk with the image I plan on using the
new partition to add incremental backups from time to time.

How should I do all this & not have problems

The manual for Acronis should be able to help in that regard-it should be on your software disc and should be something similar to this. It should explain more fully than a any post how to get the best from the software.
If you find that you are still unclear on it's operation in any respect I would suggest you start another thread to better alert any potential helpful posters -something along the lines of "Help with partitioning/backup using Acronis True Image"
