While installing windows xp sp3 Hangs on 35 min ( installing device)

My computer configuration is :
Intel p4 processor
150hdd
500 mb ram
When I am installing xp sp3 its hangs on 35 min
Even I tried with window 7 also it hangs on windows logo in being.can any one has solution
