Why the iPad is Bad for Innovation but Good for Business

  1. Apple (APPL) has been catching a lot of flack from tech types, who say the iPad stifles innovation.

    Apple may have missed analysts’ inflated expectations of 600,000 units in the first day, but new iPad users downloaded over 1 million applications and bought 250,000 ebooks.

    The contract developers sign when creating an application for the iPhone or iPad prevents them from selling their app to any other device, even if Apple rejects it!

    Interesting bit of info, especially the last one i didn't came across this earlier; anyway, let's see how far Apple can push its luck :)
