I have a Toshiba G55-Q804 with a NVIDIA® GeForce® 9200M GS, 256MB GDDR2 and 4 Gig RAM.
It came with Vista Home and I installed Windows 7 64 bit from within Vista. It was a total reinstall. Everything seemed to go well but not to soon afterwords I would get a freeze. I use the standard windows 3-d text screen saver followed by turning off the monitor after 20 minutes. It seems to happen after the monitor turns off.
At first I can move the mouse but nothing else works. Can't click on icons, get to task bar, etc. Then the mouse will freeze in place. Within 5 minutes or so I regain control. Of late I need to reboot as after waiting10-15 I get no response.
I updated all drivers from Toshiba for Windows 7. I also use the standard windows 7 aero theme.
Any ideas?
