Windows Explorer crashes often in Win7 x64

  1. I'm one of the lucky few who is running Windows 7 64-bit retail already (build 7600) because i'm a student. Unfortunately, windows explorer crashes a lot, particularly when I right-click to view properties or copy files. Occasionally it will crash if i open my computer or my network. I don't believe it has ever crashed randomly; only when i do one of the things i just mentioned.

Here is a log of the error:
Faulting application name: Explorer.EXE, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bc9bb
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5be02b
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x0000000000051da0
    Faulting process id: 0xb98
    Faulting application start time: 0x01ca46dd4ceeafd4
    Faulting application path: C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
    Report Id: 6bcb16a7-b2d1-11de-931a-00158315a310

hopefully i'm providing the right information. can anyone help me out?

Update your NIC drivers and tell us if that resolves the problem.

Great! Let us know in a few days if either a) stability continues or b) you need more help (in which case post back as soon as you can).
