Windows is finally killing off the Control Panel

I believe M$ had to pay for the TV listings provided in WMC . Or at the very least, killing them reduced its usefulness to a great extent. So, "if it didn't work, ostensibly, you didn't need it". Hence the fact it was absent in W 10.

They've further screwed with the Windows Media Player, by discontinuing its web search for album information. So now, if you rip a CD, what you're left with, is "unknown album", track 1, track 2, and so forth. Leaving you to type in the information for CD text, all on your lonesome.

This a**hole Nadella, is enough to make Bill Gates look like a benevolent king. All the crap we're now dealing with, is commensurate with, and attributable to, the time he took over as CEO.

I haven't used WMP for years, but I remember well the web search you mention. It was a very useful feature. But I guess they couldn't figure out a way to monetize it, so scrapped it.
