Windows media player not working!!

For some reason Windows Media player 9 decided to completely crap out on me. It will play media files but it wont play 89% of all file types. It only plays like mpegs and a few plain avis with no special codec involved in its encoding. All of my other software plays the media just fine like Quicktime or DivX player. Ive tried removing WMP9 and re-installing it but nothing works. Is there someway I can just get rid of the stupid thing and start over completely? I just dont know what the problem is or where exactly. Maybe its a codec problem like WMP9 dosent know I have the codecs installed. The really stupid thing is that Windows Movie Maker reads the files that wont play on WMP. puke:

It seem to be codec problem, maybe because you have another codec pack installed like KLite, AceMegacodec, etc. Try remove them before you install WMP9.
But to me WMP9 not good at all, i prefer another player like Radlight, Divx Player, and many more.
