Windows screwing up my desk?

I am systematic with my desk.
Folders, apps and so on are placed carefully.

I rebooted today, because videos of any kind, wouldn't play.
Now everything is lefthanded. It looks like someone farted from the right, and blew everything to the left.

What in the world, happened?

Hi. Rebooting should not have changed the way your desktop is arranged.

*IF* the desktop needs to be rebuilt, this can happen - - just be happy all the items were still present and only maligned.

the desktop explorer.exe likely crashed - - review EVENTVWR.MSC and look in the system log and then the applications log
