I was just wondering if there wouldnet be a diffrence between Vista and Windows Xp 64 bit? I know that Vista has alot of eye candy stuff but i mean like programs that are dezined to work with vista. will they be compatibale with XP non eye candy Version. And what would be a better choice for a Gaming / video and picture editing computer?

The 64bit version of XP is almost like the 32bit version, so the question should be "What's the difference between XP and Vista?".

If an application is specifically designed to work with Vista, it probably wont work with XP unless the maker of application said so.

Vista is probably the better option for gaming as it comes with DirectX 10 which is not going to be available for XP, but to take advantage of it you also need a Direct3D 10 compatible graphics card.
