Windows XP will not load all the way

Hi, all! I am still running a Dell XPS PC with Windows XP Pro on it. We just relocated, and I unpacked the computer and tried to power it up. The machine starts, Windows begin to load, then at some point just freeze, will not load all the way.

I tried to start it in Safe Mode, no luck. I tried to do it off a OS disc, same results.

I looked inside at the connections, everything appear to be connected. Maybe it was bumped during the move, and something got loose, but I could find anything wrong.

Does anyone have an idea of what happened to Windows, and how I can fix it? I know, I know, get a new computer...:)

With it shut off & unplugged, push the power on button in for maybe 30 seconds & I'd also unplug & then reconnect necessary connections to make sure they ARE connected. Good luck :)

Didn't work. I tried again to load in Safe Mode, it stopped at this thread:
***\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\aswRvrt.sys

No , unless you know how to repair a hard drive. There is a chance windows maybe is just damaged. You could try reinstalling your os. If you are lucky this might work.
