No need to rush Microsoft, please take your time. I don't need a half baked OS, I need an Operating System that actually works.... In addition, I am not in a hurry to upgrade, I am very happy with my Windows 7 box.

Revisited this one and found I wasn't registered in Insiders. Went to register and received that "Enter your old password for the last time" prompt. Mistake I was making was I thought it meant to re-enter my Windows Live password rather than Windows login password as the previous dialog asked for Windows Live login so that was what threw me.

No worry. I wouldn't upgrade so fast anyway. Maybe months later after hearing people talking about how Win 10 performs.

Either wait awhile and look for others' opinions... or use the beta for awhile and you'll know EXACTLY what you're in for when it's ready...

The newest update 10240 is RTM so it is not really beta any more.

RTM (Release to Manufacturer) means it is the version that Manufacturers will be putting on their devices for release.

It's not like the days of Windows 95/98/2000/XP... where only a priviledged few had the OS before release... Yes, you'd have been a fool back then to upgrade right away...

But, assuming the OS is actually a good one (Vista took awhile to get "good"), there's no reason to wait.

Windows 7 was awesome back in beta - basically because it was what Vista always should have been...

I kind of equate Windows 10 to Windows 7.... it's what Windows 8 always should have been... and is therefore ready for the masses - and has been for awhile now!
