Yuri's Revenge Problem

I install Red Alert 2 and it works like a dream come true. But, when I install Yuri's Revenge, the minute I click the game to start, it immediately kicks me out saying there was a "Main Executable Error." I even patched the game up, and still I had the same problem. Whats wrong?

Un-install both fully

Install Yuri's Revenge, and then test it

The install Red Alert 2, and then test it

Then re-test Yuri's Revenge

Didn't work. I uninstalled both completely, then reinstalled the way you asked, but the same error occurred.

Unfortunately, Yuri's Revenge is not officially supported in Windows XP, but many people have been able to run the game with the Compatability Mode feature in Windows XP.


To activate Compatibility Mode:


Right-click on the Yuri's Revenge shortcut.
From the drop down menu select Properties.
Select the Compatibility tab.
Check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for:
From the drop down menu select Windows 98/ME
Click Apply then OK.
Double-click on this modified shortcut to run the game.
