In brief: Multi-screen PC setups are great for productivity tasks, but creating laptops with more than one screen isn't always easy, especially when the number of displays rises above two. Aura Display could have the perfect solution in the Triple Boost 14 Pro, a portable 3-screen monitor that can attach to a laptop using a single USB-C cable.

The Triple Boost 14 Pro is claimed to be the world's first triple display with a single USB-C cable. In its portable setting, the device looks like a closed laptop – albeit a particularly beefy, old-fashioned one (13.9 inches wide and 1.38 inches thick) – with a kickstand.

Opening up the 4.85-pound Triple Boost 14 Pro reveals the displays – one at the top and one on either side. Simply slide a laptop into the middle of this setup, insert the Type-C cable, and you're now working on four screens, including the laptop's.

Each of the displays measures 14 inches and comes with a 1080p resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, which should be fine for most of the productivity tasks the device is designed for.

The screens have a brightness of 300 nits, a 1,500:1 contrast ratio, a 178-degree viewing angle, and cover 100% of the sRGB color gamut. Aura says these specs make it ideal for the likes of design, 3D animation, video editing, coding, analysis, and multitasking. It's compatible with 11-to-18-inch laptops, which covers the majority of those on the market.

The device uses Aura's proprietary Tri-Link technology, which is based on a custom-optimized SiliconMotion chipset that provides power and video to the three displays via a single USB-C cable.

Compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux, the Triple Boost 14 Pro is currently reduced from its usual price of $649 to $469, an offer that ends today. It can be pre-ordered now with shipping starting later in May.

Dual-screen laptops and their variations, such as those from Asus, have been around for years. We've also seen laptops with several built-in screens, including this Aurora 7 prototype with seven screens from 2021, and Razer's 3-screen Project Valerie concept laptop.
