Despite new product launches, AMD's management still seems to be in a fuss. The company's Chief Technology Officer, Phil Hester, has resigned after a relatively short stay at AMD of only three years. The news might have prompted a share value drop, though details on why he resigned are not very clear.

About a year ago there was a lengthy interview with Phil Hester regarding the state of AMD at the time. He expressed the difficulties the CPU maker was facing then, but hopefully recent changes are signs of an eventual turnaround.
