Sony's over-the-top streaming television service will soon be much more desirable among football fans. That's because both the NFL Network and NFL RedZone will be available via PlayStation Vue by the time the NFL regular season gets under way this fall.

Dwayne Benefield, Vice President and head of PlayStation Vue, made the announcement earlier today on the official Sony blog.

Those that subscribe to the NFL Network and NFL RedZone will also have access to the channels through the Watch NFL Network via NFL.com, the NFL app on connected TVs and on the NFL Mobile app for Android, iOS and Windows.

For the uninitiated, NFL RedZone is a special game-day channel that broadcasts each Sunday during the regular season. As the name suggests, the channel doesn't focus on a single game but rather, cuts to various games live each time a team enters the red zone (the area between the 20-yard-line and the end zone) where a team is most likely to score from.

For a diehard football fan, there's really no better asset out there to make sure you don't miss any of the action across the league.

Benefield stopped short of announcing how much the two sports channels would cost. Whether that has to do with timing / marketing or the simple fact that they haven't yet nailed down the price points is unknown at this time.
