While Unreal Tournament 3 does appear to utilize quad-core technology quite well, the Athlon II X4 620 was not able to overcome the Phenom II X2 550 simply due to the fact that it is clocked 500MHz slower. Still, despite this obvious disadvantage, the Athlon II X4 620 was just 5fps slower at 1920x1200 and 1024x768. It was also a single frame faster than the Core 2 Quad Q6600 at 1920x1200 and 3fps at 1024x768.

Here the Core 2 Quad Q6600 manages to beat the Athlon II X4 620 by 5fps at 1920x1200, while in turn the Athlon II X4 620 was able to defeat the faster Phenom II X2 550 by the same margin at the same resolution.

The Athlon II X4 620 performed very well in Far Cry 2, beating the Core 2 Duo E7400, Core 2 Quad Q6600 and Phenom II X2 550 processors. Although the margin separating it from the latter two was very small, the Athlon II X4 620 still came out the victor at both resolutions.
