Power consumption levels using the Core i5 750 on the Asus P7P55D Deluxe were remarkable. When at idle the system consumed just 96 watts, surprisingly 30 watts less than the MSI P55-GD65, which uses the same chipset.

Under full load the P7P55D Deluxe was just as impressive, and again used 30 watts less than the MSI board.

We will bring you a broader scope in this regard when we publish our 7-way P55 motherboard round-up in the coming days.
