You know there are a lot of members with way more specific info than me
Actually or I've done is copied down what they've said, and then tried to make sense of it all, then put it all back together (although I seem to be the main one trying to avoid users paying though!)

random tid-bits of curiosity...

Ok, i just had a thought, do we (meaning you kim) know who allegedly has these 595b Generators? and if we do, why cant there be some kind of discussion or persuasion to share these, something to make it fair for everybody, more so for us users seeking free help, i mean with all of the requests, plus the urge for people with these generators to charge, i cant help but imagine if there is a compromise. For example.. (probably way off here) instead of charging 80 bucks, or whatever, charge something like 5. if i may point out the math... theres like a thousand and a half (ballpark figure) people looking for MP's.. this times that, and boom, everybody's happy. I do completely believe in what you believe in regards to this thread, its for free help, and free help only. But this world has become so corrupt as of late, that everybody wants something for something else, its sad, unfair, ridiculous, but unfortunately true.. whats left is the option for compromise....i dont know, maybe its just late and im on a rant, or maybe my own personal life has effected my views.. but yeah, thats my thought.... hope i didnt offend anybody, i still need help with my dell though, lol!!!

AND....!!!!!! let me just say that if i had this so called generator, i would sit here on my ***, day in and day out (minus my work schedule) and help all of these poor souls with they're Evil Bios conundrums, and not expect a penny in return, thats right I said it, NOT A PENNY!!!! Thank you!

Hmm just like me
Actually I even asked if I could buy the generator so I could help others for free
I got all these "sure you would" comments back. But if you happen to search TechSpot, that's exactly what I do everyday, and I'm a Mod. So pretty sure I'd stick to my word (obviously I wouldn't purchase it for some over stated exuberant amount; ideally they should just provide it, it would be much easier!)

Which brings me to "they"
Yes they are all known, even the drones that have no posts who are on the checkout to lure in unsuspecting others (I keep this ever growing list) but it all comes down to about 3 of them , but due to my membership here (only) I can't name names.

I'd prefer them just coming out and communicating like adults do! But if that doesn't happen I'll just keep going until their inevitable extinction. The old days have gone, even this thread is having its day here already. It would be nice to go out with some respect, at the end of the day.

I finally broke down and ecided to bring my laptop into a local shop to try to solve my 595b bios pass problem... unfortunatly even they didn't have the notorious 595B genorator. after 6 hours of working on trying to fix it they had to give it back, fortunatly they weren't able to charge me because they did not fix the problem but i'm still in dire need of the password seings how atm i'm only allowed on this computer ( my mothers ) for maybe 1 hour a day 2 or 3 days a week.... and for an intence gamer this is like hell so i'm still looking for the fastest methods available and PLEASE no more posts of web sites to go to to pay i won't go near those....

i will post again in the morning after i get my comp back if i can get on with my 595b code i just realixed i never put it up here

Mod Edit:
Please do let us know how you (or they!) fixed it

Hey, I'm a first-timer here and I was hoping if any of you fine gents can help me out here. I was recently given a Dell Latitude D610 by my uncle. My uncle primarily gave me the laptop because he had an HP desktop and didn't have the need for it. The problem is the laptop came with a password on the HDD and I would like to reinstall Win XP, so I was hoping for someone to help me out greatly.

This is how it was shown on the gray screen.

Hard-disk #***3LE1SFND-595B, the system Primary HDD, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access data on this hard drive without the correct password.

Thank you much in advance.

blindmancries, does your computer have a floppy drive.. (some do some dont) and if so does it boot the floppy before it boots the hard disk?

Also.. have you tried removing the cmos battery?

HP Omnibook 2100,4150,7150: eeprom AT24c164 (Atmel 24c164)
You can contact HP here: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/wwcontact_us.html
As it is an older computer they may help

Some users reported connecting the harddrive using an IDE adaptor to a PC and formatting it from there, then returning the harddrive to the laptop. This may work

Edit: Note "removing the cmos battery?" will not work

I would like to re-state to all New members, that there are FREE alternatives, than paying high costs.

Before deciding to accept any message on how you can pay to receive your passwords:
1. Read this entire thread (you are currently on) On many laptops, the passwords can be freely removed
2. Dell will supply you a password for under $40 only
3. Shop around. There are many pay for services out there, quite a few at eBay, and basically a Google search will find hundreds!

You have been informed

Also read my last post h e r e on free alternatives :)

Note I will continue to post this message on each page change here
