2007 Compatability patch

Hello All
I was trying to put the 2007 Compatability patch on my PC runing XP Media Center Edition spk 2 and I got this error. office pro 2003
Internet Explorer cannot download FileFormatConverters.exe from download.microsoft.com
The connection with the server was reset.
I am also having trouble with saving thingsI often get a file permissions error.
This just started happening out of no where. Any help would be most helpful.

In regards to permissions error, are you an Administrator account
Go to Users in Control Panel to confirm

Did you manage to download and install "FileFormatConverters.exe" ?

No I was not able too I'm going to try running it from a disc I downloaded.on to.
