i'm getting a 300 gig HD and i have a SATA spot open on my MOBO. i don't want to install windows on it i just want it to be for storage( for a ftp).
so how should i format it??? i also know that you can't get the full 300 to show, only like 127 gigs......right???
Depending on your mobo, a BIOS update and/or a driver activation/update might get you the full size of that HD.
You need to activate or load a driver for 48-bit LBA.
