I finally got a 4th stick of wintec ampx ddr2 800 ram and wanted to run it in dual channel. When I looked in CPU-Z it said size: 4096mb channels: single. Then I looked through it more more and in the spd tab it said that sticks 2 and 3 are aeneon and that 1 and 4 are wintec but when I look into my case they all say wintec ampx and look identical except the newest is black instead of silver. They also have different stats in CPU-Z.

Here are the links to the exactly what I ordered and it all says retail so I can’t figure out why some is from a different manufacture than the others.

So is there any way I can get it to run as dual channel? would it even make a difference anyway? I looked through My bios and I didn't see anything about dual channel.

Thanks for any information or help.

P.S. Sorry this post is so badly made.

Looks like the product numbers are different, even when I google search them, you may want to get "identical" ram chips to get dual channel.

Do you mean the black stick being 3AXT6400C5 and the silver being 3AXT6400SE5? because I thought that only had to do with color of the heat spreader. Or is it some other number? Do you know why it says 2 of them are from aeneon and 2 are from wintec even though they were all wintec ampx ddr2 800 pc6400 on newegg? Or did you answer that in what you said and I'm just to stupid to know?

Sorry for bugging you.

Bugging me, no, its why we're here. When you buy new ram for something like this make sure its the same product number, and just not the same specs(800mhz 5-5-5-15 for example from the same company). I'm actually going to look into it, sounds like one company bought the other.

Ahh I see, wintech is an authorized dealer of Aeneon. So they sell their products, it says wintech but its really aeneon.
