A typical problem as faced by me

Hi Friends,
I've a very typical problem faced by me.
Just 2 days ago I formatted my SSD & reinstalled win-10 & all my apps afresh.
I've 4 drives ion my PC viz C:, D:, M: & W:

any file that gets downloaded from the net goes into C:|downloads & I've to move it to the relevant folder in w:. for this I go to C: folder & cut / copy the file & paste it to W:
Now since the last 2 days I'm unable to copy / cut / paste files from c: to w:
the reason for this being that I'm unable to get / use the paste option it is grayed out.
this is not faced always but in a few instances the cut / copy works properly too.
pls can anyone tell me the reason & the solution.
I'll be very thankful to you in the matter

Although I find it difficult to understand you, with the exception of IE/Edge, most browsers allow you to change where downloads go. In Firefox , Tools>Options>Scroll down to Files and Application & you'll see how to change where they go.
In Google Chrome , click the 3 verticle dots upper right & go to settings, scroll down & click Advanced settings & again you'll see where to change where you download to. Hope that helps

Just wondering if something minor is preventing this. Perhaps reviewing how to create a drive W: will shake free some slight issue.
