Android 5.0 Lollipop: Performance and battery life tested

My gf is so disappointed with Lollipop that she's thinking of buying an iphone now.
I went to the iPhone about a week ago. Best decision ever! Forget Android and the update mess that Android is. With having an iPhone, I know that I'll get timely updates as soon as they are available.

Oh, and battery life is amazing on my iPhone 6 Plus. Blows Android out of the water.

That's because it's still new to you and a change is as good as a holiday but after about a year, if that, the novelty will have worn off and you'll be looking at Android or Win 10 again.

Yes because iPhone updates are without a hitch =P

Android updates are worse. When I had the Note 3 the 4.4.4 update broke GPS to the point where it barely worked. Along with that came a semi-truck full of bugs that were worse than the fixes it included. Battery life was awful after the 4.4.4 update. Oh, and yeah... after every OTA Android update you have to do a Factory Reset because the OEMs still can't figure out how to do an update right.

The Android OEMs can't write good, quality software to save their lives!

Can't write well*. The thing is, when you update software for iPhones, you have ONE or ok, maybe two type of hardware, on Android you have a huge universe of phones so that's it.

I'm not defending Android, but iPhone software is not a walk in the park either, considering their ONE phone they have to update, a friend of mine always waits for at least a couple patches before updating because it either gets laggy or it drains the battery -even faster-.

So... it's not about which one is worse, none can escape the fact that both sucks.

My Samsung S4+ Nordic GSM (GT-i9506) was updated to lollipop 5.0 this weekend (21-22 February)
