Anonymous has had a busy Christmas week with news about its AntiSec arm breaching security think tank Stratfor's servers and reports about the group making donations to charity with stolen credit cards. Now it appears that Anonymous also targeted specialforces.com as part of its aptly titled LulzXmas festivities.

The hacker collective released the credit card and personal information, including names and addresses of those ordering products from the site on Pastebin yesterday. They also took opportunity to further embarrass Stratfor over their confusion as to whether their data was encrypted or not.

"To be fair, at least SpecialForces.com DID store their customers’ credit card information using blowfish encryption (unlike the global intelligence and security industry "professionals" at Stratfor, who apparently remain confused as to whether their customers’ information was even encrypted or not). Nevertheless, our voodoo prevailed and we were quickly able to break back into the military supplier’s server and steal their encryption keys. We then wrote a few simple functions to recover the cleartext passwords, credit card numbers, and expiration dates to all their customers’ cards. That’s how we roll," they said on Pastebin.

The attack was in response to the site's core customer base being primarily military and law enforcement personnel, who they claim have enjoyed purchasing tactical equipment they use on citizens."What’s that, officer? You get a kick out of pepper-spraying peaceful protesters in public parks? You like to recreationally taser kids? You have a fetish for putting people in plastic zip ties?"

Anonymous said they have been in possession of 14,000 passwords and 8,000 credit cards from the site for several months, but a disgruntled 'former comrade' had leaked that list earlier than intended.

It is clear the hacktivist collective intends to finish 2011 with a big bang, following up from many high profile intrusions this year that have seen the group transcend to an almost cult like status online.

Stereotyping ftl

"inane comment explaining how these kids are actually doing allot of good in the protesting world"

"followed by subject comment describing how the first poster is probably a six year old child, coming from the conclusion that He/She gets so mad behind a keyboard"

"ending with a declarative statement providing evidence the second poster has wits and is a gentlemen and a scholar"

That about sums it up

I would really enjoy an article on these guys if every time we see them they werent trying to tear down America from the inside. Welcome to the land of the free, home of the ppl who want it destroyed. Heres a thought ANON guys.......how about trying to build America up instead of down. How about taking those UBER hack skills and use them for something more then embarrasing those massive companys. Maybe play Robin Hood and hack some cash to the poor starving ppl. Maybe play Defender and attack the ppl who cyber attack us?

I am forming a group to "silently" take them out... government has its hands tied with morals and laws. All i need is a couple million, 1 IT tracker, and 2 guys that know how to use close combat weapons. Reply with donations or application :)

Yet another big shot being hacked because they were to good to implement a decent security system.

I have to believe that Anonymous' play time is is rapidly approaching it's end. One of these times they will hack the wrong system and trigger a massive and decisive response from the governments of the world. I just hope that we don't have to pay for it with restrictive internet policies etc...

In the meantime I will be watching for a new start-up company with the hardware/software solution to this stuff. What an IPO that would be...

I can shoot snipers extremely well in BF3 if that counts! xD

Governments all over the world have their hands tied by morals and laws and human rights. Which is funny, as they take back handers and bribes and sell their grandmothers for any price, they have no morals, they break every law, and human rights doesnt apply when going to war with other countries for oil on trumped up intel.

So Mr Guest, get your little group together to defend your United States of Hypocriacy...

The fact that there is all manner of offenses committed by governments is widely known. They are, after all, comprised of humans. But if you want to single out America for its offenses to the exclusion of all other countries you are more than welcome to move. However, you will be sorely disappointed to learn that the humans elsewhere are just as prone to hypocrisy as those in the States.

These hacks will get whats coming to them, only a matter of time, there are smarter people than these few losers looking for them daily. I will love it when they get caught and get thrown under the jail.

Neutralize target in the special ops means kill everything within sight and sound. At least I think thats the term they used in the hour documentary I saw which somehow makes me a expert. One could call them glorified assassins. I admire our soldiers but not the political puppets unleashing them where there corporate sponsors tell them too. What your upping the blood diamond prices? Send in alpha tango! AS for the police yeah some cops are pretty messed up but most are good guys. However the policy they have all seemed to adopt of beating on protesters who are camped at a park is a waste of time I'd prefer my tax dollars going towards busting meth labs.

You could say well who are anom to decide whats right and wrong! Well who are our lawmakers\politicians to decide? At least anonymous didn't get legal bribes in the form of campaign contributions, special interest groups and lobbyists to steer them. I wish everyone would think for themselves instead of putting faith in our corporate government. Even russia lobbied in america to get 10 fold foriegn aid in return and you know what it worked.

Now stealing is wrong but its our tax dollars, it makes me wonder what people would think if they stole from the mobs hit men and gave it to charity. Take note thats not even our tax dollars.

...........huh. Interesting. I thought Anon was FOR the people. Guess I was wrong. Dear someone smart: please hack and find all the members of Anon, steal their information (ALL of it) and post it on the web. Let's see how they feel when the tables are turned. I used to stand with them, but recent stories have shown them for what they are...cyber bullies/terrorists. I seriously wonder how much longer it'll be before the US government takes 100% control of the internet thanks to these guys...

We're going to hunt you socialist pricks like the dogs you are. I am so sorry capitalism is so offensive to you. Feel free to take up residency in any of the failure socialist governments examples anywhere in the world. The truth of the matter is you suckle the nipple of the capitalist tit while you thumb your nose at your capitalist mommies. You've never had it hard, you have no honor, and your going to lose.

Skills don't mean much when you don't use it the correct way. Someone have excellent skills in computers use their skills to exploit a bank for fun is different than the same person doing it to warn the bank of their security problem. Same actions but different intentions. There's nothing about "hating" like you said.

I am a very very good medic, no one has ever died in my watch. I usually play Conquest on BF3, can i apply to your forces?
