Hi fellas - My wifes computer isn't running to good, I've done everything i can think of it's still slugish and i get this error on boot up...

Bios update data incorrect. CPUID=00000F29

also now as of a day or to go her CD Rom doesn't show up in the My computer folder, i pulled it out and it shows up and works fine in my other PC though...Any ideas?

Thanks in advance guys,

Motherboard: ASUS p4pe
Processor: 2.8 P4 800 Mhz (Prescott???)
RAM: PC2700

*800MHz FSB CPU is not the default specification of this motherboard. If you decide to overclock with Intel÷Õ Pentium 4 processor on 800MHzm FSB, DDR400 DRAM module is a must.

The motherboard wants to run the processor at 800 MHz, but the RAM is limiting you to 333Mhz. I would upgrade to PC-3200 (400 Mhz) RAM and make sure you have the latest BIOS installed.

Not sure about the CDROM. It could be cables, IDE channel, jumper settings, BIOS settings, etc.

Bug

Have you tried using the 'Add Hardware Wizard' to add the CD-Rom. When i just formatted my hard drive, my pc couldn't display the d:\ in the My computer folder but it just needed adding which takes seconds with no trouble.
