Apple sells 10 million iPhones during first weekend without its largest market

Apple announced this morning they sold more than 10 million iPhones over the weekend, eclipsing the previous record of nine million with the launch of last year's iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. The figure is no doubt impressive but there's more here...

I don't think that this was much of a shock. I think the one thing that impresses me the most is that they had 10 millions units ready to ship in the first week of the phone sales. It's a nice strong sale that Apple will be eager to beat with iPhone 7.

I would like to know how many percent of these 10 mio do own 5/5c/5s iphones .

Probably the majority of them are pre-orders waiting to be manufactured.
