Knew an article about climate change would bring the moronosphere out to play. After licking windows and voting for Donald Trump, pretending climate change isn't happening is their favourite way to waste good oxygen.
All true, of course, there is no one louder than those ignorant of the facts.
But as I have mentioned before, my daughter works for the National Weather Service on assignment for the last 6 years from NOAA, and this article is correct.
We are seeing improvements in the climate change outlook for the first time ever.
And that is despite the dipshit class that we see above. She even said to me that many expect that the planet's average temperature may see a slight drop within the next few years.
We just need to keep in the direction we have been since the 70s, when catalytic converters became the absolute first major step towards reducing emissions the world over.
The bullshit artists above are the same, tired suspects, but all that needs to be done is the same. Stupid people keep those that think and do on their toes so just continue to ignore their willful or preprogrammed ignorance of easily obtained facts.

The ultimate proof of ANY computer model is not that it's right going forward a few years, or it's got more data then ever. The unswerving test of any computer model is: "When you run it for past years, do they accurately represent the actual prior data. The answer to that with climate models is they have NEVER worked when going back over prior years.
As for how these work going forward, anyone remember the UN climate panel "hockey stick" graph. Boy was that a joke. While we should always work to pollute less, we exhale CO2, so do animals, volcanos, ocean life. Plants NEED CO2. CO2 is a trace gas in the atmosphere. How well do you think a greenhouse would work if there were more holes in it than glass by a factor of over 100x.?

Volcanoes. Climate cycles have existed since the earth was formed as a molten ball and over billion years cooled to a ball of ice. Hot and cool cycles are natural. People are merely accelerating, slightly, the cycle.

I think there is a lot of argument over the cause and effects of so called global warming caused by the human race. Why don't yall argue about what can be done by the human race to correct the problem and how that would effect us. One caveat, they used to say taxation without representation is tyranny.

Alarmist are alarmists for one reason, to make money. I remember the Y2K bug and that the world was supposed to end in 2012. One of their own, a preacher of the gosple, no less, convenced a bunch of people that is was going to be judgement day in 1900. They sold all they had and gave it to him for a place in the kingdom of Heaven and gathered on the top of a mountain to await. But for some strange reason, he didn't show up for judgement day on the top of the mountain himself.
I know this is hard for non-scientists to understand, but scientists are financially incentivized to find results that are in vogue. It leads to both publications (scientific fame and better jobs) and literal funding for their research. Sure, not all scientists "sell out", but you have to start with the understanding that STRONG incentives are aligned with with what the funders want, be it tobacco companies funding risk studies or liberal politicians elected on climate change funding climate change research.What the hell are you talking about? Realistically, climate scientists know almost nothing. They can’t predict short term weather, but they want us to believe they can predict long term climate changes, despite repeated failures at doing so. Humanity has pride about knowledge gained and science, but always forgets about what we don’t know we don’t know (I’m willing to bet it’s vast).
Anyways, one of the big problems with climate science is the same problem with astronomy, paleontology, and a few other fields… It’s hard or impossible to empirically test it. And that’s also why computing advanced quicker than any other major field of engineering, because its nature is that it can be tested quickly and easily. And that’s why I bet that we have only a fraction of the knowledge about climate science. It’s probably as well understood as astronomy was in the 1800’s—underdeveloped because of simplistic tools.

Phoenix is actually a really nice place, I wouldn’t mind that. According to the theory of evolution, humans emerged from Africa, so we’ll be just fine. And Phoenix is also the exception, it’s a desert without much rainfall. Most of the hottest and humid places thrive in biodiversity.
Maybe you just can’t handle the heat like you used to? Or maybe the cost of getting AC has become accessible lol. Tropical places often don’t have AC, Maui is an example I’ve been to and its temperature didn’t get below 78F/26C at night with high humidity.

Is part of it due to humanity? Yes definitely. Cutting down a bunch of huge forests, raising insane amount of cattle, burning fossils fuels does have repercussions.
Then again mother earth has been around for a long time and has done her own share of massive vulcanic events etc.

Is it all our fault? No, earth has gone through many hot and cold cycles. Ultimately it's part of the cycle of life, some animals may go instinct, some new varieties might evolve, some animal may leave certain areas and move into new ones etc. Sharks for example have been around for 450m years, I'm sure life including humans will adapt and that at some point things will cool down again as well. Maybe humans will even scroll be around for it.
Doesn't mean we shouldn't try to limit our carbon footprint, but also doesn't mean we should shoot mirrors into space to reflect sun light back to earth for green energy etc.

It is somewhat entertaining that for US households it would be relatively simple to greatly reduce their carbon footprint by simply having them live more like Europeans. No enormous amounts of food, no / or far less air conditioning, properly insulating houses to reduce the heating bill, hanging clothes to dry instead of running the dryer. Walkable/Cyclable cities instead of car-centric design (makes for a healthier population as well).
Oh well, drill baby drill, "clean" coal and all that.

That claim has not only never been proven, but with a consensus of 96% among scientists, it is impossible to deny their findings. They have the proof, and they publish it constantly.
See, I agree that kind of stuff happens. But when it does, their research is always mysteriously missing, or is so far off the actual facts they get laughed out of consideration.
Just refer to the Breitbart "information" @Win7user put up above. It is so laughable that my daughter told me that her colleagues that read it basically said it should have been written with crayons. And those claims were NEVER made as an actual future problem.
How many readers that saw that noticed that not one claim had a source that is linked?
Not to mention many of the people and researchers they quote don't even exist! Nobody can find them!
Now honestly, what can you expect when you make a claim like "the ice caps have not shrunk and are growing back"?
I am one that believes that the massive loss of rain forest combined with deforestation overall is possibly just as responsible as the burning of fossil fuels.

See that NOAA graph I posted above? No? You can see how consistent the cycles have been, and you can also see how badly the natural balance was thrown off, and when it happened.
Can you say out loud that you think that happened as our industrial age came to be is a complete coincidence? Because I would love to hear why.

I can not think of a better forum to read than this one where the argument goes from one extreme to the other. Surely there are alarmists and scientists who skew resesrch and empirical data curves to support their preconcieved ideas (prompted no doubt about ideas of fame and money) as well as politicians and corporate heads (prompted no doubt about ideas of escaping guilt and avoiding penalty) who do the same. We need pragmatic middle ground somewhere the scales can be balanced. Keep up the good work.
