  1. Do you have personal information, bank account records(ie account numbers),
    use online shopping, or legal documents on your computer(s)?

    Does Identity theft scare the H*** out of you (it does me!)

    Consider reading and implementing as much of this Guide to Locking Down XP Security as possible.
    (XP/Home users will not have access to gpedit.msc, sorry).

    I've noted elsewhere on Techspot that Enabling EFS (Encrypting File System)
    can be deadly if you change login passwords. This feature is intended for
    systems which are attached to a Domain Controller environment.

    While the article is data 2006, the information and how-to are still current.
