Bad_Pool_Caller & BSOD

Hello,

Newbie (to this board) here with my first post and a problem I can't solve.

I have a computer with the following properties:
WinXP
1GB DDR RAM
1.2MHz CPU

Nothing has been recently added or removed...at least not willingly (automatic updates) and suddenly my computer starts resetting itself right when it gets to the screen where you can pick who is loggin on.

I tried to boot up in safe mode...didn't work. I tried to boot up with the last known working configuration...didn't work. I tried to boot up without stopping with a problem (can't remember exact terminology) and that's when I get the BSOD!!! with this error code:
Bad_Pool_Caller
Stop: 0x00000DC2 (0x00000043, 0xD20F3000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I can re-install WinXP in a different folder and it runs no problem, but I would need to re-install all the programs that were installed in the oringinal WinXP that's getting the BPC problem.

ANY help is greatly appreciated. I tried replacing the memory and video card and it didn't help either time.

Please and Thank You :)
