ok i have a bois problem, but before you tell me to reset the bios, this is a different problem. I have a complete workinjg ibm thinkpad 600e (i know it old) and was recentily upgraging my hard drive. when i installed the drive and tried to boot to a cd it asked for a password. but if i install the original hard drive and boot to the same disk it works with no password. i have reset the bios and if i go into bios it says there is no password. i need some help here. i can get more info if you need it.
type # 2645-4au

Go to the IBM/Lenovo site and download the latest BIOS, and all the drivers
for the 2645-4AU.
Now, following IBM instructions exactly, update the BIOS. Turn off machine. Cold Boot.
Then reformat and reinstall windows using this machine and your Thinkpad disc, after which you install all those drivers
